The service

Trivolino is a hosted live quiz platform. A workspace owner or admin builds quizzes, creates events, and hosts them from a private host screen while questions appear on a shared display and players answer in their phone browser after scanning a QR code. Event state, question deadlines, participant admission and scoring are decided on our servers.

Players do not need an account, an app or a subscription. Workspaces subscribe to a plan; each plan sets the number of players per event, events per billing period, simultaneously live events, workspace members, questions per quiz, and which branding and reporting features are available. The current limits are published on the pricing page and in your workspace.

Your account and workspace

You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for everything done under your account. Workspace owners control billing, members and content; admins manage quizzes, events and reports; hosts run the events assigned to them.

You are responsible for the questions, images, nicknames and other content in your workspace, and you confirm you have the rights needed to use them. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Trivolino for anything unlawful, or for fraud, spam or harassment.
• Do not upload or display content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Do not upload content that is hateful, threatening, obscene or otherwise unlawful, and moderate the nicknames players choose at your events.
• Do not interfere with the security or integrity of the service: no malware, no probing or scanning, no automated scraping, no attempts to bypass plan limits, tenant isolation or rate limits.
• Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the service, reverse engineer it, or circumvent technical limits.

Licence and intellectual property

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Trivolino within the plan you have selected, for the duration of your subscription. We retain ownership of the platform, its software, documentation, design and branding. You keep ownership of the quiz content you create.

Plans, payments and taxes

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in EUR, in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled. Annual billing is charged as ten months of the monthly price. Prices are shown excluding VAT; applicable tax is calculated at checkout.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are therefore governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms, together with our refund policy.

Changing or cancelling your plan

• Upgrading to a higher plan on the same billing frequency takes effect immediately and is charged on a prorated basis, which is shown to you before you confirm.
• Downgrades and switches between monthly and annual billing take effect at your next renewal date, which is shown to you before you confirm. Until then your current entitlements continue.
• Cancelling stops the renewal; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, after which the workspace moves to the Free plan.
• We never delete your quizzes or past results because of a downgrade. Content beyond the new limits is preserved, and we tell you which actions need a higher plan.
• If a renewal payment fails we show a billing warning and allow a seven-day grace period. After that, new sessions are limited to Free entitlements until payment succeeds. An event that is already running keeps the limits authorised when its lobby opened.

Availability and service level

We work to keep Trivolino available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages, and the network conditions in your venue can all affect a live event. We recommend testing your setup before an event that matters.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of acceptable use. Where circumstances allow we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

You can stop using Trivolino at any time and delete your account from your workspace settings. On termination, you can export your workspace data before deletion; after deletion we remove your content in line with our privacy notice, while keeping the billing records we are required to keep.

Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill.

Our total liability for any claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

Changes, law and disputes

We may update these terms as the product and legal requirements change. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect; continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.

You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. Neither side is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.

These terms are governed by Hungarian law, and the courts of Hungary have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights you have in your country of residence. Gifie Kft. is the seller of the service; Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for orders.
